Criteria for the post of Vice-Chancellor:
01. Candidates must have a distinguished academician with minimum 10 years of experience in a university system and at least 5th years will be as professor. or,

02. 10 years of experience in a reputed research organization or academic administrative organization of which at least 5 years will be in an equivalent position of professor.

03. The Vice-Chancellor shall be hold the office for a term of 4 years or till attains the age of sixty-five years whichever is earlier.
Salary Structure:
The basic pay of Rs. 75000/- fixed with Special Allowance of Rs. 5000/- per month and other Allowances as per rules of the government of West Bengal.
